The School of Law at Queen Mary University of London is a member of the Association of Transnational Law Schools (ATLAS). PLEASE ADD WEBSITE. We are one of eight members, the others being: American University Washington College of Law, Bar-Ilan University , Bucerius Law School, Erasmus School of Law, National University of Singapore, Osgoode Hall Law School, University College Dublin.
Each year, a member of ATLAS hosts a two-week Agora – a PhD summer school on the broad topic of transnational law. In past years, we have sent 6 students (3 from the Department and 3 from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies) to Melbourne, Montreal and Hamburg.
We will be hosting the 2017 ATLAS Agora this year from 19 to 30 June 2017. It is traditional to include a mix of formats for the students, including lectures and workshops, as well as a social program. Please find enclosed a draft program.
We are expecting around 50 PhD students, at various stages in their degree, all working on a variety of topics (the topics, including abstracts, will be available in due course).
