Description

This three-day course aims to provide surgeons with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical experience of basic level laparoscopic surgery. The course will provide a broad introduction to laparoscopic surgery and the key procedures. You will have the chance to learn and practice a number of laparoscopic techniques under the instruction of vastly experienced tutors.

This course is suitable for CT1-2, ST2-3 and SAS equivalents. The course is aimed at those working in general abdominal surgery, colorectal surgery, urology and gynaecology. Participants should have an ongoing commitment to a career in laparoscopic procedures and be in a post where regular exposure to supervised laparoscopic surgery is available to cement and enhance the basic skills learned on the course.
